The use of passive energy dissipation devices in high rise buildings has been widely accepted to improve the seismic performance of buildings. This workshop presents the most recent passive control technology, ranging from, but not limited to metallic dampers, viscoelastic dampers, wind dampers, buckling-restrained-braced frame, and seismic isolation; and presents leading experts in their fields.
This workshop also invites several prominent structural engineering consultants in Taiwan and Indonesiato share their experiences and knowledge of those passive control technology, such as Taipei 101, Jakarta Signature Tower, Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital, NTU Civil Engineering Research Building, etc.
